There is a manufacturer warranty on all batteries, but they are serviced locally based on the availability of the parts. The manufacturer’s warranty typically covers any defects in material or manufacturing, and usually lasts between five and ten years, depending on the product.  

This warranty does not cover product failure and electrical damage resulting from improper installation. Be sure to use a certified professional with a decent track record.

Some real life advice points are: 

• It is very important to note that a heating element like a stove, iron, geyser etc. consumes excessive power. It will require a significant investment to use on a battery inverter system. 
• We recommend gas for stove tops.
• Please refer to the product website with the model number of your product. A 60″ plasma TV for instance can consume up to 500 watts of power, while a comparable LCD panel of the same size consumes only 100 watts. 
• In old refrigerators, there was no requirement for energy efficiency, and these refrigerators often consume much more energy than you might expect. Your budget should also include consideration for investing in new appliances, where possible.

A good start with comparing apples with apples when it comes to batteries is to check how many times the battery can be used – which is the number of cycles. No matter how good a product appears to be, if the cycles are low, you’re going to have to replace it when they run out. Our batteries have been selected not just for performance, but also longevity. All of them have a listed cycles rating, so that you can be assured of your investment.

Inverters that we select are manufactured by INVT. We are confident that our inverters are of the highest quality and reliability. All our inverters come with a five-year warranty and are tested to UL1741 standards. 

Once payment has been received, your tracking number will be shared to you from the courier either by SMS or email. This will allow you to track your item until it reaches you.

This is not our area of expertise, but we have partnered with Department of Labour certified electricians (that carry a wireman’s license). We’re happy to put you in touch with an installer that’s in your area. You’re of course welcome to use your own installer, as long as they follow the SANS 10142 standard.
